Cal Poly Pomona Seeking Partners in a Small Insect Study

Researchers at Cal Poly Pomona are investigating the pollinators and biological control insects on urban farms and gardens in the LA area.  They are looking for ten urban farms or community gardens to collect insects in this summer, with a hopeful expansion of the project in 2016.  They will set-up small insect collecting traps near your cucumbers/squash for 24 hours once in July and once in August. Insects will be brought back to their lab to be identified. If you’re willing to let them collect insects at your community garden this summer or would like more information, contact Dr. Aaron Fox (affox@cpp.edu) and Dr. Joan Leong (jomleong@cpp.edu).
