Vote to turn a parking lot into a learning Garden

Gardeners, our friends need your help to earn a Seeds of Change grant. Help start an outdoor garden classroom for local schools by voting for the White House Place Learning Garden. Vote daily and help them win!

The Beverly Vermont Community Land Trust helped turn the White House Place Learning Garden from a parking lot to an outdoor organic gardening classroom for teachers, students, and families belonging to 8 schools within walking distance. The Seeds of Change grant will directly help this densely populated area of Los Angeles by reaching out to local students, teachers, residents and community groups and teach them about growing and eating organic fruits and vegetables. A website will be created for the purpose of providing ongoing outreach, educational materials, showcasing progress, and posting information regarding upcoming opportunities for involvement. Additionally, signs will be created and posted outside of garden to inform of hours of operation and contact info for further involvement. The BVCLT, mostly volunteer run, seeks funding to inspire and educate our local community about the benefits and resources available at the newly created WHPLG
